CT Cross TrainingCourse Overview:

  • The course is intended for technologists who are currently working in CT or those wishing to enter the career field. This course is specifically for you if you are seeking a way to prepare for the ARRT Registry; desire to develop a strong technical background in CT imaging; assist you understand protocol development, and develop the skills to perform quality assurance and quality control tests.

Course Description:

  • CT Cross TrainingThe CT Cross Training Course for Technologists consists of three training phases:
    • Phase 1, 35-hours of classroom instruction at the RIO® Grande Physics Training Center
    • Phase 2, faculty site visit and establish ARRT clinical requirements
    • Phase 3, student attends four 8-hour seminars, RIO® Grande Physics Training Center, to review their clinical progress and advanced CT Techniques
  • Each student will be required to attend the 35-hours of classroom instruction. At the completion of the course, the student will complete a progress examination on the course material. Clinical worksheets will be given to each student to validate the completed CT clinical exam forms for their clinical site. The completion of the AART clinical requirements averages between 6-9 months and will depend on the number of types of CT exams performed at your site.
  • In addition, a site visit by a faculty member will be conducted to cover the clinical training requirements/documentation and site-specific QA/QC. Four additional 8-hour seminar meetings will be conducted at the RIO® Grande Physics Training Center, Albuquerque, to review your clinical progress and advanced CT Techniques.
